I take photos because I enjoy doing it.
I put them on the web so that others can also enjoy them too.
Occasionally I like to look through my weblogs to see who is looking at my photos, and because most of the hits are referred to by various forums and blogs I also get to see what people are saying about them.
Yesterday whilst looking through the logs I came across this site, which seemed a bit strange as although the photo of Machu Picchu on it isn’t mine, the one it links to is. Not being able to read Spanish I jumped over to Google’s translation tools, whilst gives this result.
The comment above the link sums up in one line why I take photos, and especially why I put them up on the web “Excuse the Off-Topic, but [...] I feel very proud to belong to this wonderful earth and to see this type of photographies of Machupicchu.”
To date there are literally thousands of websites, forums and blogs out there that point to my gigapixel photos of Sydney, Chicago and Machu Picchu – and the fact that people bother to go to the effort to link to them really does make all of the effort worthwhile!
